The following fruit and milky smoothie makes about three servings. So you can make it for the kids before they go to school and there should be enough for later. Not to mention, the recipe is so easy to follow that the kids can make it even when you’re not around
Ingredients
1 cup or reduced fat milk or skim milk
1 container of low fat Yoplait® of cherry or raspberry yogurt (8-ounces)
Super-chilled apple juice
Adult Preparation instructions
Pour the milk, yogurt and apple juice and half a cup of crushed ice into a blender, mix the ingredients on whip. As an alternate add fresh fruit ( blueberries, cherries, bananas, strawberries, raspberries and any other favorite fruits).
Child preparation instructions
Instruct the children to wash their hands. Leave a plastic quart jar out for the kids to pour the milk, apple juice and yogurt mixture. Remind the kids to tightly close the lid of the jar prior to shaking it vigorously. The jar should be shaken until all the ingredients are smooth.
